Queen's Cup

in person/ online

Note: Playoffs and Queens cup are dependent on the Men’s Lakehead Thunderwolves hockey team winning/losing record

  1. Tickets are available for purchase at the following prices: $5 dollars for 1 ticket, $10 dollars for 5 tickets and $20 dollars for 40 Tickets
  2. Tickets will be available for purchase in person during listed Thunderwolves home games throughout the building at Fort Willam Gardens (901 Miles St E, Thunder Bay, ON P7C 1J9 ) with cash. Tickets are available for purchase online from  thunderwolves5050.com with credit card or interact-debit card only.
  3. Tickets will be sold using the electronic raffle system supplied by Ascendfs; Ascendfs will also be responsible for hosting the online website.
  4. For in person raffles after making a purchase at the venue, patrons will be given by the sellers, a receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. For online purchases the patrons will be provided the registered numbers electronically. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.  The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers (online and in person) sold for the draw for that game
  5. The amount of the 50/50 will be displayed on the kiosk monitor in the lobby of the Fort William Gardens. It will also be available on the  thunderwolves5050.com website
  6. One cash prize will be awarded for each draw, the winning number will be announced first at the Fort William Gardens over the public address system during a stoppage in play in the third period and then posted to www.Thunderwolves 5050.com.  A cheque will be sent by mail to the address provided by the winner.
  7. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.
  8. Winners that are present at the Fort William Gardens for the draw can claim their prize by visiting staff located between penalty boxes.  If the winner is not in attendance at the event, they may claim their prize by contacting Jaimie Mintenko  at Lakehead University (email:  Jmintenk@lakeheadu.ca , phone # 807-343-8010 ext 8808) by providing their name, address and phone number with photo id and image of the winning ticket number.  The ticket may then be brought to 955 Sanders drive, Thunder Bay Ontario, P7B 5E1 at an agreed upon time for ticket verification.
  9. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID (online tickets) or the original paper ticket (in-person tickets), they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize, which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for that game. If the winner cannot provide photo ID (online tickets) or original paper ticket (in-person ticket), then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
  10. If no winner comes forward, the number will be repeated over the PA system and posted on the kiosk monitor in the lobby of the Fort William Gardens as well as the website, thunderwolveshockey.com and thunderwolves5050.com. At subsequent events, the number will be posted at each selling station.  The winning stub will be kept in a safety deposit box and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated to a charity other than Lakehead University, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
  11. We will notify winners by telephone if winning tickets were purchased online.
  12. The following persons are not eligible to participate in the Thunderwolves Hockey 50/50 raffle: Any person assisting in the conduct or management of this lottery event may have any monetary interest in ticket or have or have a chance to win the lottery prize in any way.
  13. The above set of Rules will be posted at each event.
