
Lakehead University and the Thunderwolves hockey team are pleased to announce that former OHL forward Sam Schutt has committed to the program.
Schutt played five years in the O beginning with the Sudbury Wolves in 2010 where he played two-plus seasons before being traded to the Kingston Frontenacs early in his third campaign.
The 510, 180-pounder from Palmer Rapids, Ontario had his best season with the Frontenacs in 2013-14 when he scored 29 goals in 71 games.
Schutt is looking forward to joining his new team and obtaining a degree in Forestry. I'm excited about furthering my education at Lakehead and becoming a member of the Thunderwolves, he said. Im also eager to experience living in Thunder Bay because I think its a great city.
