The Lakehead Thunderwolves hockey team got off to late starts twice today, and ended up taking a 5-1 loss to the Lancers Friday night in Windsor.
The teams early morning flight to Toronto was delayed by two hours Friday morning, and then the Wolves didnt get on the scoreboard until they were already down 4-0 in the third period.
Brett Vandehogen scored the only goal of the first period at 5:48 to give Windsor the early 1-0 lead. The Wolves could only muster 6 shots on the Lancers goal and were outshot 8-6 for the period.
