Lakehead's Freshmen forward Kevin Stiles had a phenominal game potting his first hat trick as a Thunderwolve in a 7-3 loss to the Toronto Varsity Blues.
Lakehead came out of the gate quickly as Stiles would bury a Spencer Blackwell pass on the power play to give the Wolves the early lead.
The Blues would respond with two goals in the middle of the period when Oliver Benwell and Kyle Potts who would get his first of four goals in the game to take the lead 2-1 into the intermission.
In the second period the Blues would go up 3-1 when Danny Katic would increase the lead to 3-1 on a pass from Potts that would beat Brock Aiken.
Lakehead would respond less then a minute later when Blackwell would feed Stiles who would rifle a wrist shot by the Blues Alex Bishop to cut the lead to 3-2.
Then the wheels fell off when Toronto reeled off three goals in a span of 4 minuites with Potts scoring twice and Krieger beating Aiken to put the Blues up 6-2 heading into the third period.
Kyle Potts would wrap up the scoring for the Blues on the powerplay early into the third putting them up 7-2.
Stiles would beeat Bishop in the middle of the period off of a pass from Tyler Ho to round out the scoring for Lakehead.
Lakehead wraps up the series and first half of the season tomorrow night which is also the Annual Teddy Bear Toss that supports multiple local children's charities.So bring those Teddy Bears to toss when the Thunderwolves score their first goal of the game.
