Lakehead University Athletics and Thunderwolves Hockey are very proud to announce the launch of ticket packages for the University Cup, presented by TBayTel, will go on sale on Monday, July 21st.
This will be the first time ever that Lakehead University will host the University Cup, presented by TBayTel, and the Fort William Gardens will be the site for the top mens university hockey teams in Canada. The six-team seven-game tourney will run from March 26th to March 29th of 2009; featuring the host Wolves and the other top five contenders in the CIS.
Lakehead Athletics Director Tom Warden said the sales of the ticket packages truly kick off what will be a historic time for Lakehead Hockey, Lakehead University, and the City of Thunder Bay. Its a huge event for our community and our school and we are very excited to get things started. A lot of work has already gone into hosting the nationals and now the goal is in sight, the tickets are on sale, and we are ready and looking forward to this event with great anticipation.\"

Tournament passes will cost $105 for Adults and $70 for Students and Children and include admission to all six round-robin games and the University Cup, presented by TBayTel, Championship Final. Thunderwolves Season Ticket holders will have the option to buy National passes until September 12th. Non season ticket holders can get their passes beginning July 21st; so get them while theyre hot because these tickets will go fast!

Tournament Coordinator Bryan Duce said excitement is already in the air over the University Cup, presented by TBayTel, in Thunder Bay. \"I have received countless phone calls and emails from fans wondering how and when they can get their tickets for the Nationals and I can finally confirm that tickets will be available on July 21st. The momentum is already building for this tournament and the support of the fans and local community is unbelievable.
