The Lakehead University Thunderwolves hockey team will begin training camp on August 29 to kick off the Wolves 2017-18 campaign.
17 players are returning from last year's squad and eight new commitments have already been announced, but there will be several walk-ons hoping to impress during camp and make the team.
Scrimmages will be held at the Current River Arena during the first four days of camp at the following times: August 29 (5 to 6 pm), August 30 (7 to 9 pm), August 31 (5 to 6 pm), September 1 (5 to 7 pm). The general public is welcome to attend.
The Wolves will then move to the Tournament Centre on September 5. The season opener is set for September 29 when Lakehead hosts Ontario Tech at the Fort William Gardens.
