A sweep of divisional foe Brock propelled the Lakehead Thunderwolves men's hockey team to No. 4 on the CIS rankings, up from their previous No. 7 slot, the CIS announced on Tuesday. The series win was also enough to knock the Badgers out of the top ten from their previous No. 6 position.
Lakehead has a 7-0-1 overall record and 5-0-1 conference record, and have earned a point in each of their first eight games. They will face their second straight ranked opponent on Friday and Saturday when they travel to Waterloo, Ontario to take on the No. 10 Waterloo Warriors.
The UNB Varsity Reds remain at No. 1 followed by Alberta and UQTR.
