Goaltender Kevin Druce backstopped his Yorkteam with a 30 save effort as his Lionsskated to a gritty 2-1 win over the No. 3 Lakehead Thunderwolves Friday night in Toronto. Lakehead's sole marker came from Jesse Baraniuk while York's scoring came from Jerry Connell and the game winner was notched bySteve Chabbert.
The loss puts Lakehead's OUA record at 5-2-0-0 (11-4-1-1 overall) and York's record goes to 4-3-0-1 in OUA play and 7-4-0-1 overall. Lakehead outshot York on the night 31-22.
