Lakehead's season came to and end at the hands of the TMU Bold with a 3-0 win and a sweep of the best of 3 series.
TMU would strike in the first on a powerplay with 1:06 left on the clock in the 1st period when Ian Martin would find the back of the net after converting a William Portokalis pass.
Lakehead would have multiple opportunities in the second but could not solve Kai Edmonds. TMU would find the twine again with a tenth of a second left on the clock in the period when Liam Ross would knock in a loose puck passed Christian Cicgoi.
TMU would put the game away in the 3rd on the powerplay when Joseph Ianneillo would rip a shot past Christian Cicigoi to up the lead to 3-0. It would get chippy after that with 50 minutes in penalties handed out as frustration boiled over.
With Lakehead returning home after the crushing defeat, TMU advances to the OUA West Final against the Toronto Varsity Blues.
