It took overtime for Lakehead to pull out the 3-2 victory over the Brock Badgers on Senior's Night for our graduation players.
Lakehead would get on the board first midway though the 1st period as Richard Whittaker would find Nicholas De Grazia open at the side of the net and he would bury past Badgers netminder Samuel Vyletelka which would send the 2861 fans into a frenzy early on.
The Wolves would add to their lead in the second when Tyler Turpin would snap a long shot past Vyletelka.
The Third period would see Brock start to chip away at the Lakehead lead early on when Ryan Thompson would walk in a get one passed Christian Cicigoi to cut the Lakehead lead to 2-1. Brock would continue pushing to tie the game up and they would as Zack Stringer would snap one past Cicigoi to even the score at 2-2.
The game would need overtime and in that frame Malte Hasselgren would unleash a wicked wrist shot that would beat Vyletelka easily to send the fans into a frenzy once again in celebration of Lakehead's 3-2 win.
