The Lakehead Thunderwolves and Queen's Gaels put on a show for the 2292 in attedance on Pride Night.
The first period would see plenty of action at both ends of the ice and see Lakehead's Max Wright and Queen's Christian Purboo stop everything they faced.
The Wolves would put the pressure on from puck drop with chance after chance from just about every part of the offensive zone but would be denied each time.
Queen's would get there chances too but Max Wright would stand tall.
The second would be the same as the first with both teams getting some great chances in tight and from the circles.
The fans would be treated to a penalty shot when Olivier Pouliot would be slashed on a breakaway just past midway through the period.
Christian Purboo would turn aside Pouliot's attempt to keep the game scoreless.
The third would get chippy with lots of stick work from the opposition. The Wolves would break through at the 8:26 mark when Troy Williams would take a pass from Noah Massie and skate in down the right side and wrist a shot past a partially screened Purboo.
The Wolves would strike again when Troy Williams would fire the puck down at the empty net and Spencer Blackwell would beat out the Queen's player to negate the icing and tuck the puck in to up the lead to 2-0.
Seventeen seconds later Greg Smith would knock the puck in from mid air past Purboo to make the score 3-0.
The game would end 3-0 but with some rough stuff near the end of the 3rd period due to frustration from Queen's.
