Lakehead beat the Brock Badgers 5-2 on Jersey Auction night.

The Wolves were ready for this one as they came out flying knowing that they need every point that they can get in the remaining 6 games of the season with 1st place very much in reach.

The Wolves would get on the board just over a minute into the game when Dylan Massie spotted Liam Whittaker wide open on the opposite side of the zone and he would deposit the puck into the yawning cage to the delight of the 2704 fans in attendance.

Just over two minutes later Keighan Gerrie would convert a pass from Olivier Pouliot and roof it over the shoulder of Badgers netminder William Hambley to up the lead to 2-0.

They would keep on coming seven minutes later Nicholas De Grazia would deflect the puck over to Pouliot and he would rifle it past Hambley to put the Wolves up 3-0

The Wolves would come out firing in the second period when Trenyn Crane would spring Pouliot and he would make no mistake about it snapping a shot over the glove of Hambley to send the fans into a frenzy and increase the lead to 4-0.

Brock would get a late goal in the period when Andrew Amousse would get the puck past Christian Cicigoi to cut the lead to 4-1 at the break.

The Wolves would strike for a fifth time just before the midway point of the period as Dylan Massie would get the puck to Justin Paul and he would wrist a wicked shot past Hambley.

Brock would get a very late goal by Ryan Thompson but the Thunderwolves would take it  5-2 which gave Head Coach Andrew Wilkins his 100th win behind the bench. This includes Regular season, Non Conference and Playoffs combined.
