Lakehead to play Windsor in 1st round of the OUA playoff and starts at home on Wednesday February 14 and then shifts to Windsor for game 2 and 3 if necessary on Friday and Saturday.
It will be a rematch of last years OUA West Final with Lakehead looking to carry its momentum from their hot finish to the regular season into this best of 3 series.
Lakehead swept Windsor in their regular season meeting earlier in February by scores of 6-3 and 6-2.
Windsor will have their number 1 goalie back between the pipes in Nathan Torchia for the series. He served his 2 game suspension for punching a player with his blocker when Windsor was in town earlier in February.
Windsor holds the edge in all time playoff wins 8-6 over Lakehead while outscoring them 47-43.
Windsor has won the the 4 previous playoff series against the Wolves. They won last year in the West Final (2-1), 2015 playoffs (2-0), 2014 playoffs(2-0) and the 2012 playoffs (2-1).
