UPDATE 2: Lakehead was unable to get to London in time due to issues stemming from weather in Toronto so the game tonight has been rescheduled to Sunday Feb 16/25 at 11:00am.
UPDATE: The Friday game Lakehead was suppose to play against Western was pushed from 11am to 9:30pm because they could not fly out to Toronto because of the snowstorm that they received.
Lakehead is needing every point they can find on their final road trip of the regular season against the Western Mustangs.
Lakehead currently sits 5th with 30PTS in the OUA West 1 pt behind the 3rd place Western Mustangs. Also in the mix is the Windsor Lancers who currently sit in 4th place also with 30Pts but hold the tie breaker on the Wolves with 15 ROW (Regulation vs Overtime wins) and Lakehead has 12.
Last season the Thunderwolves split with Western at home with a 3-2 win and a 4-1 loss. This time around the Wolves look to show their bite in the series.
Lakehead is 24-41-2 all time against their long time rivals and have been out scored 168-247 in those contests.
Lakehead is coming off of a rough road trip in Quebec which saw them drop both games. Western is currently on a 3 game winning streak with wins over Laurier, Ottawa and McGill.
