Lakehead will close out the first half of the season against the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks down in Oshawa.
It has been seven years since the Thunderwolves and the Ridgebacks have played each other. Novenber 24th and 25th of 2017 was the last time with the Ridgebacks and they won both meetings 3-1.
Fast forward to this Friday and both teams are full of new players now and are heading in oppisite directions in the standings with Lakehead in a 3 way tie for first in the OUA West and OUIT sitting in 4th in the OUA East.
The Thunderwolves are coming off of a weekend split down in Windsor with the Lancers and the Ridgebacks are in the midst of a 4 game losing streak with losses against McGill, UQTR twice and Brock.
Lakehead is 15-4-2 all time against the Ridgebacks outscoring them 107-59 in those meetings.
Lakehead's powerplay is operating at 25.9% which is good for 2nd in the OUA and Ontario Tech is at 17.5% good for 13th in the league.
The Wolves Penalty Kill is at 85.5% good for 7th and Ontario Tech is at 88.7 which is tops in the OUA.
