Lakehead was swept by Laurier after losing 3-1 on the 2nd Annual Indigenous Cultural Celebration Night.

The Wolves would strike first in the game just a little over halfway through the first period on the powerplay when Nicholas DeGrazia picked up a rebound and buried it 5 hole on Laurier's Ventsislav Shingarov.

Laurier would answer back just three minutes later on the powerplay when Eli reimer would win a faceoff to the right of Max Wright and Declan Graham fire a shot from the point and it would find the back of the net to send the teams to the break tied at 1 a piece.

The second would see Laurier strike twice in a span of 1:08. First on a delayed penalty call Conor Ali would find Isaac Sookal open at the point and he would wrist a shot on net and it would beat Max Wright to break the deadlock.

Laurier would increase their lead to 3-1 when Patrick Brown would bang in a rebound at the side of the net past Wright.

That would be all the scoring in the game as the 3rd period would see both teams get chances but the netminders on both sides would be up to the task and stopped all the shots they faced.
