Lakehead opens 3 game road trip with a come from behind 5-3 win over the Guelph Gryphons.
Guelph would open the scoring in the first period when Ted McGeen would slip one past Max Wright. Guelph would double there lead 4:53 later on the when Ethan Doyle would out race Noah Massie and flip the puck over Max Wright and into the back of the net.
Lakehead would respond on the powerplay 2:45 later when Spencer Blackwell would clean up a rebound off of a Tyler Jette shot to cut the lead to 2-1.
In the second Guelph would add to the lead when Nolan De Gruse would beat Wright and put the Gryphons up by 2 again.
The 3rd period would be all Lakehead as the Wolve would storm back with Kishaun Gervais netting a pair and Josh Van Unen and Greg Smith would also find the twine to seal the comeback win for Lakehead.
Lakehead continues there 3 game road trip in Kitchener against Waterloo on Friday night at 7pm at the Waterloo Rec Center.
