THUNDER BAY, ON Lakehead Thunderwolves hockey has released the 2016-17 schedule and will open the season with three straight weekends at home beginning September 30 when the Wolves host the Lethbridge Pronghorns of the Canada West Conference.
The Thunderwolves will welcome another CanWest foe thenext weekend when the Manitoba Bisons visit the Fort William Gardens, followed by the OUA home opener versus the Windsor Lancers on October 14-15.
Lakeheads opponent for the Christmas Challenge on December 29-30 will be the Nipissing Lakers.
Other OUA conference opponents coming to Thunder Bay this season include the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks and Guelph Gryphons during the fall term, as well as the Brock Badgers, Laurentian Voyageurs, and York Lions in the winter semester. The Wolves will close out the regular season at home against the Western Mustangs on February 10-11.
All Lakehead home games will once again start at 7:00 p.m.
