Lakehead rallies to defeat Nipissing in OT 4-3.
Nipissing got the hot start when Charles Farmer got one by Christian Cicigoi only :35 into the game.
Cicigoi would make 9 saves in the first period coming up big on a few of them.
Max Wright would come in in relief to start the 2nd and Lakehead would even up the game 6 minutes into the period when Dylan Massie would redirect a Tyler Jette shot past Zach Roy.
Nipissing would answer back 6 minutes later when Kyle Foreman would strike on the powerplay.
Max Wright would make some big stops to keep the game tied headed into the 3rd.
Lakehead would go ahead in the third when Josh Van Unen would find the twine.
Nipissing would respond quickly after to go ahead when Lieffers would rip one past Max Wright.
Keighan Gerrie would even the game up late in the period with an absolute beauty of a no look shot that found the top shelf.
The Wolves would end it earl in OT as Colin Van Den Hurk would whistle a wrister past Zach Roy.
