The Windsor Lancers did not take long to get on the board early in the 1st stanza when Brady Pataki put a shot on net and Mason Kohn knocked it through Cicigoi’s five hole to the dismay of the 3728 fans in attendance.

The Wolves would answer back after Dylan Massie would chase down the puck in the corner and ring in around the boards to Auger at the point who would then put the shot on net and Joe Mack would knock the puck in  in the scramble at the side of the net to tie the game up at 1-1.

Keighan Gerrie would take a thunderous hit along the boards in front of the timekeeper area and had to leave the game as a result.

The second period would see a flurry of action at both ends of the ice with both netminders standing pat and keeping the score 1-1

Windsor’s Anthony Stefano would get a breakaway chance late in the period but Cicigoi would stand tall.

The 3rd would see the intensity continue as both teams kept on pressing to break the tie.

Windsor’s Stefano would get an opportunity early but Cicigoi would come up huge

Joe Mack would get an early opportunity in the period but would be stopped.

Both teams would get a flurry of chances but both goalies stood pat.

The game would need overtime to settle it and it would not take the Wolves long to end the game when Kevin Stiles would head down the left wing and feed Griffen Fox who would rip the game winning shot over the shoulder of Nathan Torchia to send the sellout crowd into pandemonium.
