Lakehead picks up a crucial win and a big 2 pts to move into 5th place in the OUA West Standings.

Lakehead and Windsor came out of the gate ready to go but it would be Windsor that would strike first midway through the first period when Nic Pavia would tip a Schives point shot past Max Wright to the disappointment of the 2737 fans that were in the Gardens.

Lakehead would out chance the Lancers in the first despite being down by a goal.

The Wolves would come out of the break and erupt in the 2nd period with a 4 goal outburst that would stun the Lancerrs.

First Greg Smith would clean up a rebound past Windsor's Lund-Cornish to get the Wolves on the board at 4:48 of the 2nd.

They would keep coming 1:19 later Blackwell would bang in the puck in a goal mouth scramble to give the Wolves their first lead of the night.

Nicholas DeGrazia would get in on the scoring at the 15:30 mark when he would redirect a Keighan Gerrie pass into the back of the net.

Troy William's would round out the scoring in the period blasting a shot top shelf past Lund-Cornish to send the teams into the break with the Wolves up 4-1.

Windsor would get within 2 in the 3rd when Ty Toews would finish a Nic Pavia pass to beat Max Wright. That would be all that they would get.

Lakehead would get 2 quick empty net short handed goals by Josh Van Unen and Griffen Fox who hit the post but recovered to back hand it in through his legs.

The Wolves would take the contest 6-2. Max Wright would stop 24 of 26 shots he faced.
