Lakehead loses to Windsor in OT and trails 1-0 in best of 3 series

Lakehead downed by Windsor in OT 3-2.

Windsor got an early chance when Mason Kohn was found wide open in the high slot but Max Wright flashed the leather on him.

Lakehead would get on the board first when Griffen Fox would find Liam Whittaker open high slot and he would fire a shot that would hit the inside of the post and roll in behind Nathan Torchia.

Windsor would answer right back though on a turnover picked up by Dominic Mufarreh and he would find Johnny Ulicny and he would snap a shot of the post and in.

Lakehead would outshoot Windsor 18-9 in the frame.

The second would see the pace continue with Lakehead peppering Torchia again with shots.

Windsor would get a 5 on 3 for :20 and Max Wright would be tested in close but would shut the door on the Lancers.

Jette would exit the box and he would be joined by Greg Smith on a 2 on 1 but Torchia would stand tall.

Tyler Ho would get a late chance in the period but would ring it off of the crossbar.

Lakehead would again outshoot Windsor 17-10 in the period.

Windsor would strike :32 into the 3rd when Nic Pavia would fire a shot along the goal line and it would go in to put the Lancers up by one.

Stiles would get a great chance midway through the period when the puck bounced off back wall and he one timed a shot but Torchia shut the door.

Lakehead/s Tyler Jette would lay a big hit on Windsor's Ty Toews. He would need the trainer's attention afterwards.

Lakehead would pull Max Wright late in the 3rd and with the extra attacker would tie the game up when Greg Smith would bang in a loose puck in the crease.

Lakehead would outshoot Windsor 17-7 in the frame.

In OT Windsor's Jake Durham would end the game with a wrister over Max Wright';s shoulder.
