The Wolves head down to Southern Ontario to Windsor to play a pair against division rival Windsor Lancers.

Last season the Wolves swept the Lancers in the season series 2-0 with 6-2 and 6-3 wins at the Gardens. The Lancers ultimately got revenge sweeping the Wolves in 1st round of the playoffs to heat this rivalry up even more.

Lakehead is coming off of a statement 9-1 win over the Guelph Gryphon's last weekend and hope to carry the offense over to this critical series with the standings currently very tight from 1st to 7th.

Coach Andrew Wilkins had this to say about the tight standings: “We knew the league was going to be tight coming in and with such a short season every game is huge. Every weekend we have to get points.”

Keighan Gerrie had the hot stick last weekend scoring 4 goals and picking up 2 Assists in 2 games. Carson Cherepak and Christian Cicigoi look to continue their stellar play this weekend.

Lakehead is 43-20-3 all time vs Windsor and have outscored Windsor 260-189. Lakehead's blistering hot power play operating at 29.8% which leads the league is 8.5 % better then Windsor's 21.3% which is good for 7th in the OUA.

Lakehead's penalty kill has slowly gotten better and is currently 82.7% good for 7th in the OUA. Windsor's penalty kill at 81% good for 12th in the league.

Windsor is lead by Keegan McMullen with 8 goals and 13 points in 12 games. In net Nathan Torchia has posted a 6-5 record and a .909 save percentage and a 2.55 G.AA Torchia has won his last 5 starts in Windsors current 5 game win streak.

Game time is 7:30pm Friday and Saturday. The games can be viewed on OUA TV at OUA.ca
