Lakehead got surprised only ten seconds into the game when TMU won the opening faceoff and skated in and Ian Martin fired a shot from the right side and it beat Carson Cherepak to open the scoring.

It took the wind out of the Wolves sails as TMU would keep coming and score two more goals off the sticks of Joe Rupoli and Connor Bowie to put the Bold up 3-0 after the 1st.

The Bold would keep the pressure on int the early stages of the 2nd when Jaden Condotta would strike on the powerplay to increase the lead to 4-0. The Wolves would get their chances but Kia Edmonds would stand on his head and keep the Wolves off of the board.

The Bold would keep on coming in the third with two more goals from Connor Bowie with his 2nd of the game and Kevin Gursoy to go up 6-0 early in the period. The Wolves would keep pushing and when TMU got into penalty trouble midway through the period on the power play Nicholas De Grazia would take a pass from Spencer Blackwell and wrist it past a diving Edmonds to get the Wolves on the board.

Justin Paul would tip a Blackwell shot home from in close on the power play to bring the Wolves within 4 but that would be as close as they would get as TMU would pick up the 6-2 win and the weekend sweep.

Lakehead would out shoot the Bold 39-30.
