Lakehead could not find their footing against TMU in a 5-2 loss in front of 2204 fans.
The Wolves allowed 4 goals in the second period and that was the difference in the game for them.
TMU got on the board first in the first period with Ian Martin beating Christian Cicigoi in close.
It took the Wolves until the last minute of the period to find the scoresheet with Spencer Blackwell wristing a beauty top shelf on TMU netminder Ryan Dugas.
In the second period it went downhill for the Wolves with Ian Martin getting his second of the game, Jackson Doherty, Mitch Lafay and Matthew Kinash all finding the scoresheet in the period.
The Wolves would strike early in the third off the stick of Olivier Pouliot. They would have multiple chances in the third but Dugas would stonewall them.
TMU would outshoot Lakehead 36-33.
