Lakehead came ready to play their preseason opener Friday night against the Manitoba Bisons.
Lakehead was lead by Joe Mack who netted a pair of goals and Tyler Ho who setup 3 goals on the evening.
Lakehead would open the scoring quickly in the first when Dylan Massie would strike unassisted at 1:47 mark.
Lakehead would keep the pressure on and Tyler Ho would find Joe Mack who who make no mistake finding the back of the net to up the lead to 2-0 after the 1st.
The Bisons would open the scoring in the second when Hayden Ostir would beat Max Wright glove side to cut into Lakehead's lead.
The Wolve would answer right back as Noah Massie would fire a quick pass to Joe Mack and he would beat Simon Harkness top shelf to restore the 2 goal lead.
Manitoba would round out the scoring in the 2nd when Josh Paulhus would slip one past Wright to cut the Lakehead lead to 3-2 going into the break.
The Bisons would tie up the game in the early stages of the second period when Noah Basarab would wrist a shot past Max Wright.
Lakehead would get to work after that with Josh Van Unen taking a pass from Tyler Ho and hitting pay dirt to put the Wolves back in front.
Shortly there after with Lakehead on the man advantage Olivier Pouliot would find the twine and put the Wolves up by a pair once again.
Max Wright would handle the rest and Lakehead would go on to take the game 5-3.
