Toronto Varsity Blues come out flying in the first period scoring only :42 into the game when Blues forward Kyle Potts tips a Brendan Bornstien point shot past Aiken to put the Blues on the board.
Seven minutes later after Dilan Peters takes a slashing penalty Toronto would strike again as Ross Krieger would snap a quick pas from Quinn Hanna home to increase the lead to two.
Just past the halfway point of the period Joe Mack was sent to the box for slashing putting the Blues back on the powerplay which led to Potts taking a pass from Danny Katic and deking out Aiken to score his second of the period and putting Toronto up 3-0.;
The Blues continued the scoring early into the second period as the got a lucky bounce in front of their own bench which led to a two on one break that led to Peyton Reeves burying a pass from Billy Moskal just inside the post on Aiken's glove side to up the lead to 4.
Kyle Potts would complete the hat trick under 4 minutes later when he banged in a rebound in tight past Aiken to give the Blues a commanding 5-0 lead.
Tyler Ho would get Lakehead on the board at the midway point of the frame when he beat Alex Bishop with a shot from the slot. Blackwell and Griffen Fox would collect the assists on the goal.
In the third Toronto's Steven Elliot and Ben Woodhouse would score twice in a span of 1:15 to give the Blues a 7-1 lead.
Tyler Ho would answer back on the powerplay with his second of the game. But Toronto would score for the final time shortly after to round out the scoring when Peyton Reeves netted his second of the game.
Things got very chippy with three minutes remaining as the referee's would hand out 46 minutes in penalties. Toronto would go on and defeat Lakehead 8-2.
The Wolves return home to play their last two home games of the season vs the Brock Badgers, February 18th and 19th at 7pm both nights.
