Lakehead completes the sweep of Manitoba with 6-4 win

Lakehead Completes the Christmas Challenge Sweep.

Game two of the Challenge was an a high scoring contest.

Lakehead .would get on the board just under 2 minutes into the game when Josh Van Unen would pick up a rebound and knocked it in.

Lakehead would keep coming when Brendon Borbely would net his 1st as a Thunderwolve converting a Blackwell pass past Hawrylukto up the lead.

The Bisons would cut the lead to one on the powerplay when Owen Wareham would wrist a shot past Brock Aiken from the right circle.

Lakehead would answer back near the end of the period when Dylan Massie would convert a pass from his brother Noah Massie to regain the 2 goal advatange for the Wolves.

The second would see the Bisons come out and Score two quick goals by Codey Behun on the powerplay and Tony Apetagon to tie the game at three.

The Wolves would respond with two goals in :38 span off the sticks of Tyler Ho finishing off a tic tac goal play with Josh Van Unen and Nikolas Campbell (his first assist as a Thunderwolve).

Dylan MAssie would get his second of the game in the third and the Bison's Hayden Ostir.

The Wolves would hang on for the win by a score of 6-4.

Wolf Paws: Referee's Edward Jung and Jason Begin refed their first OUA games tonight after gaining experience working as linesmen. Also Josh Gribbon worked his first OUA game tonight as a linesmen.

The Wolves resume their homestand next weekend with games against Queen's University on Friday night and RMC Paladins on Saturday night with game times of 7 pm both nights.
