Lakehead swept Windsor with a second dominate performance to clinch at the very least a play in spot (6th) but can potentially finish as high as 4th with a win next Friday and Windsor winning only 1 of their 2 games next weekend.
Lakehead got a huge game from Nicholas DeGrazia as he logged 2 goals and 2 assists, while Griffon Fox picked up a goal and 2 assists in the win.
Windsor would open the scoring 5:06 into the 1st period off the stick of Mason Kohn.
The Lancers midway through the 1st would fire a shot at the Lakehead net but would hit the corner of the post/crossbar and bounce back in behind Wright and he would squeeze the pads to get the whistle.
Lakehead would break the ice in the last minute of the period as Liam Whittaker would take a feed from DeGrazia and sneek it through traffic and past Lund-Cornish.
The second would see Lakehead get the lead off the stick off Keighan Gerrie 2:10 into the period.
Griffon Fox would find Nicholas DeGrazia late in the period and he would fire a laser past Cornish to increase the lead to 3-1.
Windsor would answer back quickly with Mason Kohn finding Holden Wale who would find the twine behind Max Wright to cut the lead to 3-2 going into the break.
Lakehead would not waste time in the opening minute of the 3rd when Josh Van Unen would spring Spencer Blackwell and he would make no mistake rifling a shot past Cornish to restore the 2 goal lead.
DeGrazia would increase the Wolves lead stiking for the his second goal of the night firing a blistering shot past Cornish.
Windsor's Aaron Shaw would bring Windsor within 2 goals but the Wolves Griffon Fox would put the dagger in Windsor with a beautiful shot that would find its way past Cornish.
Max Wright would stop 25 of 28 shots he faced.
