This Friday not only are the Lakehead Thunderwolves hosting the York Lions but will also honor a former member of the program.
Jeff Richards who played 170 games with the Wolves and is the all time leading goal scorer (126) and 2nd all time in points (248), 2006 Queen's Cup Champion and OUA West MVP 2003-04 will be inducted int the Lakehead University's Wall of Fame on Saturday Oct 22.
The Wolves will celebrate Jeff Richards on Friday night before the game.
The Wolves are coming off of a season opening weekend split against Windosr winning 1-0 last Friday and dropping the Saturday afternoon game 4-1. The will look to rebound against the York Lions.
The Wolves hold the all time edge against York 25-18-4. and have out scored York 174-147 all time.
Last season York won 2 out of 3 games against the Wolves at the Gardens.
