The Lakehead University Thunderwolves hockey team is pleased to announce that Brendan Martin has committed to the program.
The Thunder Bay native spent the past three seasons playing in the MJHL with the Portage Terriers, Waywayseecappo Wolverines and Steinbach Pistons.
The 5’10”, 175-pound forward notched 31 goals and added 27 assists for 58 points in 55 regular-season games to lead the Pistons in scoring last season.
Head Coach Andrew Wilkins likes what Martin will add to the squad. “Brendan had a strong finish to his junior career. He’s a real scoring threat with a lot of offensive upside and we look forward to his future here at Lakehead.”
Martin is eager to return home and make his mark. “As a hometown kid, I’ve always wanted to play for the Thunderwolves. I can’t wait to get things started and contribute to the success of the team.”
