Spencer Blackwell's hattrick and Griffen Fox's three asissts help power Lakehead to a big win over long time rival Western Mustangs.
Western's Jack tucker would open the scoring midway through in the first. Lakehead would get on the board with 0:28 remaining when Blackwell would get his first of the night.
Blackwell wasted no time scoring his second of the night 0:32 into the second stanza.
Western would tie the game up midway through the second period when Franco Sporviero beat Lakehead's Max Wright.
Lakehead would take the lead back for good in 0:25 after Western tied it up when Stephen Fox would wrist a Badalamenti pass home.
In the third period Kyle Auger, Greg Smith and Spencer Blackwell getting his 3rd of the night would tally for Lakehead and Western's Sean Montgomery would net one as well.
Max Wright would pick up the win in net for Lakehead.
