The Lakehead Thunderwolves lost a hard fought non-conference game to the Manitoba Bisons 4-3 in Kenora, Ontario Tuesday night. The loss puts Lakehead's record at 4-1-0 in pre-season play (0-0-0 OUA).

Lakehead was led by Jeff Richards and Chris Shaffer with a goal and an assist each. Erik Lodge notched the other Lakehead marker with Mike Self and Jounni Kuokkanen registering assists.

This was Lakehead's last non-conference pre-season game before they open up their regular season with a two game series at home in Thunder Bayvs the Waterloo Warriors on Oct. 24 and 25.
